Obituary

Judith F. Heier, 79, lifelong Flintville resident, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on July 27, 2017, at Cardinal Ridge Assisted Living facility in Howard, WI with family by her side. The daughter of the late Joseph and Lorraine (Wright) Kaczmarek was born March 7, 1938, in Green Bay, WI. On August 1, 1959 she married Julian A. Heier at SS. Edward & Isidore Church in Flintville, WI and celebrated over 58 years of memories together.

Judy graduated from Pulaski High School in 1956 and proceeded to earn her License to teach from Marinette Teachers Normal College and then earned her Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Oshkosh. Her first teaching job was at White Pine School in Suamico, WI followed by teaching positions in Howard, Suamico, Pulaski, Ashwaubenon and Green Bay.

Judy was a loving mother who always put her family first. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, cake decorating, rosemaling, tole painting, and collecting cook books. She especially enjoyed knitting baptismal christening gowns. She was always running her boys around to scouting, swimming and sporting events.

Judy loved hearing about her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's daily activities like Jackson's karate classes and Pokemon events, listening to Wyatt and Dylan play on the violin and cello, Wyatt teaching scientific facts and Dylan talking about his sports.

She was a Cub Scout Leader and very proud of all four sons achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. She was an active member of the Alter Rosary Society, sang in the church choir and taught CCD. Judy was twice president of the St. Mary's Women's Guild society.

She is survived by her husband Julian A. Heier and her four sons: Dr. James & Stephanie Heier, Denmark, WI; Thomas & Deborah Heier, Kiel, WI; Robert Heier, Green Bay; William & Kelly Heier, Suamico, WI; five grandchildren, Patrick (Jessica), Lesley (Deakin), Wyatt, Dylan, and Jackson; six great grandchildren, Ella, Kias, Ayda, Nolan, Milo, and Avia; her siblings include Joe (Jean) Kaczmarek, Suamico, WI; Mike (Janet) Kaczmarek, Oconto Falls, WI; four godchildren, Mark Sheedy, John Kaczmarek, Mari Mlynczak, and Scott Kaczmarek; two aunts, Evelyn Sheedy and Anita Verheyden. A special mention also goes out to all the "adopted" sons that were welcomed into the home.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Beatrice Heier; niece, Karen Kaczmarek Kotny.
