Obituary

Julia M. (Gracyalny) Rappert, 93, Village of Howard, died peacefully on 12/5/21 with her family by her side.

Julia was born on April 22, 1928, in Pulaski, WI to the late Louis and Pelagia (Pawlak) Gracyalny. On June 26, 1948, she was united in marriage to Norman Rappert at Assumption BVM Church in Pulaski, WI. She worked as a Machine Packer for Kendall Corporation for 22 ½ years retiring in 1990. She was a woman of strong faith and was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Women/Christian Mothers. She looked forward to going to her winter home in Arizona. Her activities included playing cards, quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, playing solitaire on her IPad, bingo and going to the casino. She enjoyed baking her specialties of banana bread, apple pie squares, strawberry and custard pies and fruit cake to share with family and friends.

Julia is survived by her children: Mary (Bill) Holewinski, Chris (Jim) Baer, Nancy Bushey (friend, Ron McGovern), Michael Rappert, Steve (Kym) Rappert, Patti (Jerry) Hull, Barb (Bob) Murphy and Cheryl (John) Zegers; sister, Ceil (Ken) Frosch; brother, Len Gracyalny; sisters-in-law, Margie, Marilyn, Charmayne and Jeanette Gracyalny. She is further survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents, Louis and Pearl; her in-laws, Joseph and Hattie Wroblewski; brothers, Edward, Tony, Sylvester, Tommy and Benny; sisters, Anna (Daniel) Lasecki, Rose (Lawrence) Zywicki; sisters-in-law, Patricia Gracyalny, Marie (Harold) Foley, Shirley (Hilary) Sprangers; brother-in-law, Clem (Ann) Wroblewski.

Julia was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all. We will all miss her dearly. May God heal the pain and help us always remember and treasure the gift of her life.

Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave. Entrance directly across from BP gas station on Glendale.) on Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 2 until 4:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. with Rev.
