Julian A.
Heier
Mar 17, 1933 — May 13, 2024
Julian A. Heier, 91, of Flintville, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on May 13, 2024, with family by his side. Julian was born on March 17, 1933 to late John and Beatrice (Benson) Heier in Oconto, Wisconsin. He graduated from Oconto High School. "Jules" worked several jobs before finishing his career at Diana Mfg. in Green Bay, WI after 26 years as a lead machine operator. Julian married Judith F. Kaczmarek at Ss. Edward & Isidore Church in Flintville, WI on August 1, 1959 and celebrated 58 years of memories together.
Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. Julian was a kind, humble man who loved his wife, embraced family and enjoyed life. Always welcoming others and sharing a story with a big smile on his face. A person who always found the positive in every situation and willing to help in any way. Julian was an active member of the community through church, scouting, and sports.
He was Grand Knight of three different Knights of Columbus Councils (Pulaski, Howard, and Flintville) and resembled the principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism every day. He enjoyed calling Bingo and leading the charitable Tootsie Roll Drive to help heighten awareness and raise money for people in need. He was active with church especially with the Booyah events and summer festival. Always willing, excited, and honored to make Booyah for others upon request, dad was the true king of Booyah.
As a Scoutmaster and active leader, he was proud of his four boys and three grandchildren who all earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. He believed in the characteristics of scouting of being prepared and leadership. He embodied being helpful, loyal, trustworthy and kind.
Most of all, dad loved his family. From his wife to his boys, he was so proud of everything they accomplished. An avid sheepshead player who was up for a good game at any time, to watching a Brewer game or just taking care of his constantly expanding garden – he was always on the move. He loved watching and listening to all his grandchildren's adventures. Regardless, if it was going to concerts or musicals, recitals or listening to college triumphs, to baseball games or flying planes, he enjoyed them all.
Julian enjoyed making chocolate covered peanut butter balls but loved giving them away even more. He gave with all his heart and shared it with his smile. A great man who put everyone else first! One of his last words of advice was "I had a good life, make sure you have a good life too!" Be humble and kind.
Julian is survived by four sons, Dr. James (Stephanie) Heier, Thomas (Deborah) Heier, Robert Heier, and William (Kelly) Heier; grandchildren, Patrick (Jessica) Stemper, Lesley (Deakin) Washatko, Wyatt Heier, Dylan Heier, Jackson Heier; great-grandchildren, Nolan Stemper, Milo Stemper, Avia Stemper, Ella Washatko, Kias Washatko, Ayda Washatko.
