Karen Sue (Thanos) Farr, 80, of Green Bay, died peacefully Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Brown County Nursing Home in Green Bay, WI. She was born November 14, 1943, to the late John and Geraldine Thanos of Marinette, Wisconsin.

She graduated from Marinette High School, Marinette, WI in 1962.  She attended the University of Wisconsin as an undergraduate. She became a mother to two sons moving throughout the US where her husband was stationed with the Air Force.  She returned to Marinette in 1978 where she lived until moving to Green Bay in 1993, residing there until the time of her death.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Karen is survived by her children: Geoffrey (Laura) Farr of Green Bay and Gregory (Laurie) Farr of Green Bay; 4 grandchildren Kirsten Farr (Nataniel Ford), Ethan Farr and fiance Sydney Onesti, Evan Farr and Nolan Farr (Annabelle Clausen).  She is further survived by five siblings: Andrew J. Thanos D.D.S. (Mary Anne) of Marinette, Kandy T. Higley (Bill), Jeff C. Thanos (Tina), Jared J. Thanos all of Menominee, MI and Joel K Thanos (Patty) of Waunakee, WI and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private family gathering to celebrate Karen's life will be held at a later date.
