Obituary

Karen Lee Hansen went to live with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2023.

Karen was born on November 5, 1941, to John (Jack) and Eunice Hunter. She met Curt Hansen in 1962 and he was the love of her life. They married on November 30 th , 1963, and built a life and many businesses together.

Karen and Curt bought a truck stop in 1963 and every truck driver in the upper Midwest knew that they could count on a good homemade meal 24 hours a day at Curt's Y-Go-By. She was the backbone to that and every business that they owned from then on. They owned The Last Stop in Sobieski along with Towne Trader Antiques and Auction Company. She sold Avon and even ran a catering business with her good friend Gerrie Foster. She loved to research her genealogy and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was strong in her faith and her motto was always, "If you do not have anything nice to say, then do not say anything to her at all", which her mother instilled in her from an early age and it was something she lived by her entire life.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband Curt, her children Jon Eric, Eric Jon and Tyler Lee. Her parents, John and Eunice Hunter, her brother, Robert Hunter and her sister, Jean (Marvin) Englebert.

The legacy that she leaves behind are her children, Desiree (Joe) Kozlovsky and Carlton (Terrie) Hansen along with her grandchildren, Anthony Kozlovsky, Nathaniel Hansen, Elizabeth Hansen, Randi Healy and Jamie Kozlovsky.

We would like to thank Rennes Health and Rehab for the wonderful care that she received through her journey with dementia.
