Karyn Bushie, 79, passed away on September 12, 2024. Her kind and caring personality was always apparent and played into her special gift of working with the elderly. She worked as a CNA in nursing homes, and everyone knew how much she loved her career. Karyn was an avid reader of novels, enjoyed watching movies and bird watching, and was a nature lover. Above all else, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Karyn is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Kelly (Tony) Krause, Shawn (Pam) Hale, and Michael (Lori) Hale; grandchildren, Alexis (Michael), Courtney, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Logan, Brady, and Kallie; sister, Liane Galioto; stepchildren, Ian (Amy) Bushie, Heather (Shawn) Cruver; step grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Maxine Franz; sister, Judy Ness; and brother, Michael Franz.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 21 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM.
