Kenneth (Ken) Theodore Kramer, age 79 of Green Bay Wisconsin and Apollo Beach Florida, passed away on October 11, 2017 after a long and fulfilling life. Ken was son to the late John and Marion Kramer in Sheboygan, WI.
Ken graduated from Sheboygan North High School, joined the United States Marine Corps, and continued his education at the Sheboygan County Teachers College, the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Intermediate Upper Elementary Education, and the University of Wisconsin Stout with a Master of Science degree in Audio Visual Communications.
On December 26, 1964, Ken married the love of his life Kathlyn in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. He began working in the teaching profession as an Instructor at the University of Wisconsin River Falls, University of Wisconsin Green Bay, and worked at Morgan L Martin School for 34 years and was an active member of NEA, NWEA, WEAC and Green Bay Education Association. He was a Principal, Federal Grant writer, Treasurer of the WEAC Professional Development Academy, Co-Chairperson of the NWEA Convention, selected to be on a Teacher Evaluation Committee for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and worked in the Staff Development Office for the Green Bay Public Schools.
Ken enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren Dylan and Kody Simonar reading books, playing games, fishing, golfing, and swimming. He will be remembered for his work ethic, positive attitude, love of life, and always had a happy smile for everyone.
Ken is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathlyn Kramer; their two daughters and sons-in law Kim (Gary) Simonar, Kae (Kevin) Kolb; son Kevin Kramer; two grandchildren Dylan and Kody Simonar; his two brothers and sisters-in law John (Sharon)Kramer of Waunakee Wisconsin and Dennis (Trudy) Kramer of Fredericksburg Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
