LaVerne Hennig, 92, Howard, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. She was born on April 2, 1925 to the late Joseph and Elsie (Parks) Van Franchen. She married Elmer Hennig on July 2, 1949. LaVerne was employed as a nurse's aid at St. Mary's Hospital for 26 years. She was a loving mom and raised her family.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer; children, Brad (Sandy) Hennig; Wendy (Bill) Scheels; Char (John) Stien; grandchildren, Heidi (Dan) Euclide; Erika (Mike) Molkentine; Alex (Lisa) Scheels; Heather (Chris) Sanborn; Brian (Lisa) Wiercinski; Brandon Wiercinski; Marcus (Sarah) Hennig; 2 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark; her brothers and sisters.
