Obituary

Leonard A. Zellner, 87, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 21, 1935, in Luxemburg, WI, to the late Anton and Verna Zellner. On May 10, 1958, Leonard married Alyce Vanden LangenBerg and together they had seven children and celebrated 64 wonderful years of marriage together.

Leonard joined the United States Army as a teenager. After his military service, he started his career path. He started working at a local paper mill followed by auto body repair, Insurance adjuster, over the road truck driver, and was the proud owner of Suamico Auto Body.

Dad enjoyed his summer fishing trips to Canada, spring trout fishing with his family, as well as fishing with his grandkids on his own pond. He also enjoyed camping trips to the northern lakes with his children, hunting and snowmobiling with his family and friends, shooting trap and riding motorcycles. Early in his life he took up the hobby of stock car racing with his brothers at local racetracks. He also sponsored and watched his son's softball games.

He was a jack of all trades, willing to help neighbors and family with any repairs. Somehow in his free time he acquired his private pilot license. He was always helping others and generous with his time. His generosity included repairing a car for each of his children. In the evenings, you could find Dad enjoying a Kessler's and Diet Sierra Mist.

Leonard is survived by his beloved wife, Alyce Marie; children, Tom, Cynthia (D. Todd), Denis, Judi (Scott), William (Kim), and Amy; grandchildren, Cameryn (Nicholas), Ben (Victoria), Morgan (James), Dylan (Kiley), Trey, Arieana, Jaden, Trever, Emily; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Lincoln, Hudson, Dawson, Price, Chandler; siblings, Robert, Gilbert, Mary Lou, Dianne (Tom), Sisters-in-law Carol, and Mary Ann, Eugene (Nancy), Alan (Gail).

He is preceded in death by his son, Gary; parents, Anton, and Verna; brothers, Clifford, and Keith; brothers-in-law, Wilbert, and Gerry; and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann, Bette, and Janet.
