LeRoy Paul Habel (Lee), 98, of Green Bay, WI, passed away with his children by his sie Monday, July 7, 2025.

Lee was born in Chicago, IL on August 3, 1926, to late Anthony and Clara (Kurek) Habel. Clara, who was widowed during Lee's first year of life, married Lee's stepfather, the late Harry Noel of Green Bay, WI.

Lee was a U.S. Army veteran having served his county during World War II. After he completed his service, he returned to Green Bay and met the love of his life, Nancy Wanner. They married on April 24, 1954, and remained married until Nancy's passing in 2016. They were founding members of Christ Community Lutheran Church.

Lee earned his post-graduate master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin and became the social worker for the Marinette Public School District.

Lee was a loving husband and father, an avid Packers & Brewers fan, and a voracious reader who enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his son, Paul Habel; daughter, Cathrine (Habel) Boettcher; brother and sister-in-law, Al and Jan Noel; wonderful family friend, Cathy Moore and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services East assisted the family.
