Obituary

LeRoy "Lee" Wojtas, 80, passed away on July 18, 2024. He was born in Chicago, IL and served in the Illinois National Guard. Lee proudly worked as a police officer and evidence technician for the Cook County Sheriff Police for over 30 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association – Aurora Sportsman's Club in Illinois and Nicolet Rifle Club, Suamico Wisconsin.

Lee is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Timothy) Seiltz and her children, Josh (Megan) Seiltz, Dustin (Sara) Seiltz, and Matthew (Samantha) Seiltz; daughter, Laura Affield and her children, Sabrina Kaiser, Shayna (Jay) Burba-Venne, Caeley Affield, and Lexi (Trevor) Poxleitner; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nikki Helbig, Jackie Poland, brother-in-law Keith Neises, as well as many nieces and nephews, including goddaughter, Lindsey Neises.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Dawn (Neises) Wojtas; parents, Joseph and Harriet (Kuras) Wojtas and brother, Donald (Patricia) Wojtas.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1954 County Road U, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Memorial service and burial with military honors will immediately follow.

The family would like to thank Unity Hospice and all the staff at the Jack and Engrid Meng Facility for their exceptional care.
