Louis B.
Terrien
Apr 28, 1940 — May 2, 2022
Louis B. Terrien, 82, of Suamico, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 2, 2022. Louie was born on April 28, 1940, in Glenmore, the son of the late Andrew and Sophie (Smits) Terrien. He was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. He served in the army and was stationed overseas in Japan. Louie was employed at Paper Converting for nearly 40 years. He was a member of St. Benedict parish where he was also a Knights of Columbus member.
Louie was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing baseball, hockey, and softball. He volunteered as a coach for Howard-Suamico youth hockey, baseball, and softball. An outdoor enthusiast, he loved fishing, hunting, golfing, day trips with his wife Eileen, the occasional visit to the casino and collecting old fishing lures. He took great pleasure in spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren, playing cards, checkers, chess, cribbage, and watching them play sports. He loved to travel with one of the recent highlights being a family trip to China. Always quick with a joke or a story and having a wonderful sense of humor, Louie will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Eileen; his two sons Mark (Dawn) Terrien, Madison; Mike (Brenda) Terrien, Suamico; daughter Kristy (Mike) Sperber, Howard; grandchildren Dakota, Connor, Brooke, James and Andrew; his sister Loretta Zarnoth, and sisters-in-law Connie Posluszny, Marilyn Posluszny and Judy (Dennis) Mayer. He is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters Marcella (Jim) Seidl, Margaret "Mickey" Bain, Helen (Jerry) Linssen; three brothers Jerry (Eleanor) Terrien, Melvin (Lil) Terrien and Joe Terrien; brother-in-law David Posluszny; in-laws John and Julia Posluszny.
