Marie A. (Luedke) Nickiel from Village of Howard passed October 15, 2023, at a local nursing home. Marie was born September 19, 1935, to the late Anthony and Frances (Bukoske) Luedke. On January 10, 1954, she married David Nickiel. Marie volunteered for family and many events. She also would crochet hats for the troops overseas and made diapers for babies in Haiti. Marie loved going to bingo. She belonged to VFW of Duck Creek Post 7530 & Auxiliary.

Marie is survived by her two sons Dennis (Kathi), Bob (Karen), sister Jean McGregor, brother-in-law James (Rose) Nickiel, two grandchildren Landon and Kaitlyn Nickiel, two step grandchildren Allen (Lin-Wei) Bonney and Karen (Jeff) Klein. She is further survived by great grandchildren Maddie, Zeppelyn, Sparrow, Mafon, and Jessalyn Nickiel, step great grandchildren Josie & Amelia Bonney and Carter & Samantha Klein, stepsisters and her best friend Ruth Urban, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband David, parents, in-laws George & Hattie, brother Harold, stepsisters & step brothers-in-law, brothers-in-law Richard Waskowiak and Marv McGregor and sisters-in-law.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard - Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane.
