She especially enjoyed her time up at her cottage in Little Sturgeon with family and friends. Marilyn lived at the cottage every summer from before Memorial Day until after Labor Day. She called it "The Serenity Inn", she loved to entertain at the cottage every weekend, loved to cook beautiful meals and to have a good drink or two with dinner. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to travel, sew and decorate.
