Marles Knaus, 88, of Green Bay, WI passed away on July 5, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1937, to Lester and Marie Williquette in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Marles spent most of her working career in the food service industry.

Marles and her husband, Merle, eventually opened their own business, M&M Cafe, which became a true gathering place for the community. She was known and loved by her many regulars. Her grandchildren have fond memories of stopping by for breakfast made by their grandma.

In her younger years Marles enjoyed her time with her friends, bowling and having a beer at Blakes Bar. She also enjoyed her trailer up north on Newton Lake where she created memories over the years.

Marles was preceded in death by her husband, Merle, her parents, her siblings: Germaine Coppens, Bob Williquette and June Blake, and many good friends.

She is survived by her four children: Barbara (Steve) Gilliame, Mark Knaus, Tom Knaus, and Kathy Vanark. Along with six grandchildren: Sara, Melissa, Robbie, Eric, Michael and Marie and several great-grandchildren who will carry on her memory.

Marles will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her love of cooking, and having cocktails with her friends and family. (Where we made it a good one too!)

Our family would like to extend our deep appreciation to all the staff at Alpha Senior Concepts and the staff/nurses at Unity Hospice. Marles was in their care for many years, and we want you to know how profoundly your kindness, compassion, and dedication meant to our entire family.

Family and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Howard, on Friday, July 10 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Due to the construction of the Glendale entrance, please enter and exit the church using the Cardinal Lane driveways.
