Mary Jo (Hendzel) Schuurmans, age 51 of Green Bay entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, June 20 th , 2016. She was the cherished daughter of Patricia Hendzel and the late Edwin Hendzel and the beloved mother of Nicole, Kaitlyn and Lindsay Schuurmans.

Mary married Tom Schuurmans on September 11, 1993. Her three beautiful daughters were the center of her life. Her boundless creativity made their lives fun and exciting. The love and devotion she had for them was visible by all.

Mary's faith in God brought her peace and happiness. Because of her compassionate and caring heart she reached out to help those most in need. Being with her family was very meaningful and fulfilling to her. She was a treasured sister, auntie and friend.

Beautiful flower gardens adorned her home. She loved holidays and made every celebration spectacular. Mary had a passion for animals; there was always a "woof" or "meow" at her house.

During her life, she spent many years caring for children in her home daycare. She always made them feel like her home was their home.

Her most recent career was working as a medical receptionist at the office of Dr. Kadile.

Mary is survived by her daughters Nicole Elizabeth, Kaitlyn Mary and Lindsay Anne Schuurmans; her mother Patricia Hendzel and family members Lynn (Ralph) Vander Loop, Michael Hendzel, Karen (Rod) Oldakowski, Jeffrey (Kathryn) Hendzel, Jayne Hendzel (Sandra Afonso), James (Lorri) Hendzel, John (Laurie) Hendzel and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her special friend Rick Frazer and pets Sophie, Bessie and Kitten.

Mary is preceded in death by Edwin Hendzel (father), Erin Nankee (niece), Frank and Agnes Hendzel (grandparents) and Rhynold and Arlene Marks (grandparents).
