Mary Ann Van Acker, 76, Howard, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018. She was born in Marinette on June 19, 1942 to the late Victor and Doris (Maloney) Stepniak. Mary Ann graduated from Marinette High School in 1960 and worked at Gustmans. She married Clyde Van Acker on Sept. 4, 1965 and they owned Van Acker's Garage in Marinette. She moved to Green Bay and she graduated from UWGB with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work. Mary Ann was employed as a social worker for Brown County until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and was a huge Packers fan.

Survivors include her daughter, Laura (Kevin) LaLuzerne; granddaughters, Anna and Grace; sister, Pat (Bart) Rynish; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul; granddaughters, Becca and Katie.
