Nancy Kurowski, 69, of Howard, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2017. She was born May 20, 1947 to the late Gordon and Joyce (Verstoppen) Weyenberg. Nancy married Wayne Kurowski on Nov. 26, 1964. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Nancy served as a daycare provider for many years. She had many talents, including crafting decorative and jewelry items, sewing and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and concerts, reading, travel and searching for treasures at antique stores.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne; children, Jean (Keith) Maly, Jeff (Kathy) Kurowski, John (Jessica) Kurowski and Jay (Tracy) Kurowski; grandchildren, Evan and Laura Maly, Ben, Brady, Taylor, Will and Hattie Kurowski; her sisters, Carol (Bob) Bolssen and Marcia (Dennis) Bolssen; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 4 until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 until 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2561 Glendale Ave., Howard. Prayer Service 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Deacon Nick Williams. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church with Father Scott Valentyn officiating.
