Norbert E. Calewarts, 91, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Norbert was born December 6, 1931, in Green Bay to the late Joseph and Nette Calewarts. On July 24, 1954, he married the love of his life, Marion Kuske, and together they celebrated 67 years of marriage and had five children together.

Norbert proudly served during the Korean War in the United States Army from 1950 – 1953 as a paratrooper in the 187 ^th Airborne Division. A carpenter by trade, he worked at Gegare Tile for 25 years until his retirement in 1992. His most treasured times were of fishing, hunting, being with the family at his cabin in the woods and spending vacations with Marion.

Survivors include his children, Brian (Patty) Calewarts, Danny Calewarts, David Calewarts, Mark Calewarts, and Nancy (Brian) Apfel; brother, Marvin (Vi) Calewarts; 13 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; and many more family and friends.

Norbert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Eugene Calewarts; and daughter-in-law, Barb Calewarts.

Visitation will be Monday, January 16, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico, 1145 Cardinal Lane. Military honors will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday. Visitation will continue the following day, Tuesday, January 17, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 2597 Glendale Avenue, Green Bay, WI.
