Obituary

Norbert C. Moes Jr., 80, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was born September 22, 1937 to the late Norbert and Marjorie (Miller) Moes. He graduated from East High, Green Bay in 1956. On April 4, 1959, he married Phyllis Delaney and together, they raised 6 marvelous children.

Norb's love of country led him to the Army and after serving, he made his living as a welder. His love of the outdoors inspired him to work part time at Bertrand's Sporting Goods, be involved in trap and skeet as a member of the Brown County Sportsman's Club and sparked his need to help start Hunter Education in Green Bay, which he taught for 45+ years. He was a proud member of Wisconsin Hunter Education Association, National Wild Turkey Federation and the World Wildlife Federation. Later in life, his focus became helping those in his retirement community sign up for absentee voting and he volunteered at the polls.

He is survived by his children; Amy Zahn, Teresa (Tony) Caramanidis, Tim (Lori) Moes, Jon (Amanda Brunkey) Moes, Kate (Craig) Jankowski, Becky (Luke) Lemmens; grandchildren, Torre Klein, Bryce (Dani) Moes, Nathan Zahn, Abigayle Zahn, Samantha (Brandon) Hunt, Kayla Voelker, Bradden Schmidt, Kyle Moes, Owen Lemmens, Lillyan Lemmens; great grandchildren, Sophia Klein, Sawyer Klein, Jaxson Lopez, Logan Lopez and Jameson Lopez; sisters-in-law, Nancy Moes, Barbara (Paul) Willems and Rogene Delaney; brother-in-law, Mark (Karen) McMillin; and countless nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Norb was preceded in death by his love, Phyllis; his parents; his parents-in-law; his brother Thomas Moes; sister Kathy McMillin and brother-in-law Robert Delaney.
