Norman N. Tilque, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Norman was born on January 30, 1932 to Peter and Josephine (Christens) Tilque. Norm gained his wings and went to be with his Lord after a short battle with lung cancer. He married Rita Pagel on April 23, 1955 at St. Benedict Catholic Church and recently celebrated 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Norm served in the US Army during the Korean conflict as a tank driver and was honorably discharged. He worked at Red Owl and farmed. He enjoyed traveling in the motorhome to various parts of the country, fishing and playing cards. But most of all, he enjoyed his time with his children, grandchildren and his GREATS.
Norm is survived by his wife Rita; his children, Debra (Michael) Woosencraft, Mark (Cindy) Tilque, Dean (Karleen) Tilque; grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Spratlin, Adam (Christina) Spratlin, Aaron (Elizabeth) Spratlin, Kayla (Zach) Hinch, Kylie (Justin) Beaudoin; eleven great-grandchildren Ty, Zola, Aidan, Carter, Zach, Brianna, Avery, Emma, Wyatt, Lily, Lexi, and one on the way; sister, Delores (Ed) Butz; sisters-in-law Diana, Christine, and Joan Tilque; in-laws, Suzanne Kaiser, Sarah (Ray) Delvoye, Janice (Gary) DuChateau, Karen (Gary) Toellner; brothers in-law, Mike (Lynn) Pagel and David (Becky) Pagel.
He is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Andrew (Catherine) Pagel; son-in-law, Paul Spratlin; great grandson, Parker Spratlin; brothers, Edward, Richard, and Vernon Tilque; and brother-in-law, Henry Kaiser.
Family and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave. Entrance directly across from BP gas station on Glendale), on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 10-11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 with Rev. Jim Lucas officiating. Masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. The Mass will be livestreamed via the church's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/sjbhchurch Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com .
