Pamela J. Burfiend (Blake)
May 13, 1958 - October 16, 2026
It is with an overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Joan Burfiend, age 68, of Pulaski, WI.
Pam felt blessed to have the love and support of her family while she fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Pam was able to pass peacefully in the comfort of her home with her loving husband never leaving her side.
Pam was born in Green Bay in May 1958, to parents Donald and Patricia Blake. She was the oldest of 4.
In August 1981, she married her sweetheart and best friend Howard Burfiend. They went on to have 2 beautiful children, Jessica and Jacob, who in turn blessed them with 5 beautiful grandchildren. Pam was over the moon proud of her kids and grandkids.
Even when Pam’s little body could no longer keep up, she remained a kid at heart enjoying simple pleasures. It seems like yesterday when she was decked out in tie-dye attending Rockfest, Rock USA or a Bluegrass festival with Howie and their friends. Pam also enjoyed Bonfires, pumpkin patches, swimming in the neighbor’s pool, mushroom hunting, fireworks, swinging on the porch swing up north, dressing up for Halloween, books, pontoon boat rides, and canning her famous spicy veggies but she especially LOVED fishing!! She was obsessed with it! She would fish anytime, anywhere, with anyone who enjoyed wetting a line as much as she did.
She looked forward to Cousins day with the Blake girls, visits from Eau Claire family and get togethers with lifelong friends and coworkers from Carver Yachts and MCL Industries. She also enjoyed working at Vern’s in Pulaski while she was able to.
Taken from us too soon, Pam is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Howard. Howie’s devotion to Pam was undeniable. He was her love, her best friend and in Pam’s own words her Rock, her hero and her Superman. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, Jessica and Joe Lang, Jacob and Sarah Burfiend, her grandchildren, Jameson, Johnathan and Jeffrey Lang and Tayllor and Carsten Burfiend. Her brother Tim Blake and sister Peggy (Todd) Oryall, sisters-in-law Ruth Corby and Marcia (Mark) Williams and her little dog Cooper as well as her nieces and nephews, cousins, Aunties and her father’s wife, Judy Blake.
She was preceded in death and will be welcomed into heaven by her father Donald Blake, mother Patricia Blake, sister Tamara Sue Blake, Mother-in-Law Thelma Dennis and step father-in-law, Jack Dennis and her 2 precious beagles Zoe and Sally.
Pam and her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at GB Oncology, especially Dr. Groteluschen and Kristie Wickman and to Unity Hospice for their compassionate care.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1145 Cardinal Lane, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM with a short prayer service to follow on Tuesday, October 27.
