Pat Smits, 87, passed away on January 20, 2025. Pat was the daughter of John and Emily Diener, born in Sheboygan on March 16, 1937.

Pat was employed at Humana for 26 years and made many wonderful lifelong friends.

Survivors are her sons, Bill (Patti) Ruggles and Mike (Liz) Ruggles. Granddaughters, Cortny (Chris) Rector and Carly Ruggles. Also, her precious great granddaughter, Sylvia.

Also survived by stepchildren: Diane Fonder, Gary Smits, Dave (Mary) Smits, Sue (Jae) Houtman, Steve (Lynn) Smits, Barb (Tracy) Meyer, Mike (Patti) Smits, Kevin (Michelle) Smits, Rick (Elaine) Smits and Lisa (Tom) Wojciehowski and numerous grand and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Omer, 6-year-old son Bobby, and infant brother John Diener and stepson Dan.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 24 at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico, 1145 Cardinal Lane. From 9:30 – 11:00 AM will be a memorial gathering where personal stories and sharing of memories are encouraged. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM led by Rev. Dr. Michael Hanson.
