Obituary

Patricia Ann Spakowitz, 80, passed away peacefully July 4 th , 2019. She was born November 1 st , 1938 to Chet and Mildred (Brunette) Szczepanski. She grew up in Suamico and graduated from Pulaski High School in 1956. On September 14, 1957 she married Wayne Spakowitz, her high school sweetheart, at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Pat and Wayne went on to share 61 wonderful years together.

Besides her love and care of her own family, Pat became a licensed Foster Mother. She cared for and cuddled nearly 170 children, mostly infants awaiting adoption… But there were several older children as well. Her Foster Mother career spanned over 30 years. In 1994 she was featured in the Mother's Day Edition of the Green Bay Press-Gazette in a story entitled "A MOM TO MANY." The article noted the heart and patience required to care for so many children and the fact that she was born on All Saint's Day.

Survivors include her husband Wayne, son Brad, daughter Cheryl (Zastrow), foster son Frank Jones, three grandchildren: Kelsey, Taylor and Sierra, and a great grandson Cayden. She is also survived by her siblings: Dave (Mary Jo) Szczepanski, Sandi Parks, Ken (Diane) Szczepanski, Mark (Connie) Szepanski, Jim (Lynn) Szczepanski, Mike (Cathy) Szczepanski, Mary (Jim) Rechner; one sister-in-law Jerry Kjell, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce (Woodford) Neff; brothers-in-law Earl Woodford, Earl Parks, Walter Kjell; sister-in-law Linda Szczepanski; Nephew Brian Woodford; her parents, and her father and mother in-law Joseph and Mildred Spakowitz.
