Obituary

Patrick "Pat"  Edward Witt, age 83, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Pat was born on April 16, 1942, to Alphonse and Ellen Witt. From an early age, he carried with him the values of faith, family, and hard work that would shape his entire life. A proud son and brother, Pat later became a devoted husband, father, and grandfather — roles he cherished above all else.

He is survived by his loving wife, LaVonne, who was his partner in life for decades, his steady source of love and strength.  He is also survived by his children: Thomas (Tyler) Witt, Timothy (Jennifer) Witt, and Tricia (Chris) Alwin; and his five beloved grandchildren — Tyler, Dylon, Kayla, Olivia, and Aiden — who will forever remember the warmth of their grandfather's smile, his steady guidance, and his deep, unconditional love.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Ellen, and his brothers Thomas, Michael, and William. Though their loss was great, Pat carried their memories with him and continued their legacy of devotion to family and community.

A lifelong Ford enthusiast, Pat's passion for the blue oval became both his career and his calling. As the proud owner of Witt Ford in Crivitz, Wisconsin, he poured his heart into the business, serving his community with integrity and pride. His love of cars reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship, tradition, and hard work. Customers knew him not just as a businessman but as a friend who cared deeply for people. Pat never knew a stranger — his kindness, generosity, and welcoming spirit made everyone feel like family.

Outside of work, Pat embraced the joys of life. He had a passion for waterskiing and spent countless days on Lake Noquebay, where the water, sun, and laughter of family and friends created memories that will live on forever. He and LaVonne also enjoyed countless trips to Door County, where they could be found rollerblading, biking, and soaking in the beauty of the outdoors together. Pat found happiness in these simple pleasures: being surrounded by family, sharing a good meal, and listening to his vinyl records, especially Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

At the center of Pat's life was his Catholic faith, which guided his choices, sustained him in times of hardship, and inspired him to live each day with gratitude and compassion. He was a man who led by quiet example, showing through his actions the importance of kindness, honesty, and devotion.

Pat's life was a testament to love, perseverance, and joy. Though he will be dearly missed, his legacy lives on in his family, his faith, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

A Memorial Mass to honor Pat's life will be held at St. Willebrord Parish in Green Bay on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Willebrord Parish, a community close to Pat's heart.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters; He restores my soul.

He leads me in right paths for His name's sake." — Psalm 23:1–4

May Pat rest in eternal peace, joyfully reunited with those who went before him and embraced forever by the love of God.
