Robert William Hansen, 92, passed away peacefully at his home on January 28, 2023. He was born in Marinette, WI on October 8, 1930 to the late Anchor and Leona Hansen. He graduated from Marinette High School. Robert married Patricia Huisman in Oconto on November 26, 1949 at St. Peters Church and they were married for 70 years.

Robert owned a successful and prosperous painting business as well as owning real estate in the Howard area. He formerly belonged to the Brown County Home Builders Association and was a longtime member of the Optimist Club. He loved going to his cottage for many years that he built from the ground up, starting in 1968.

Robert was survived by his children, Jon (Donna) Hansen, Terry (Melody) Hansen, and Cynthia (Patrick) Canney; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and son-in-law Donald Schalewski.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents; daughter, Mary Schalewski; brother, Glenn Hansen; and sister, Jean Walk.

A memorial gathering will take place on Tuesday, February 7, at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico, 1145 Cardinal Lane, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 5:00 PM. Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com .
