Robert L. Hummel Sr., 84 of Howard, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. Bob was born in Sagola, Michigan on January 8, 1942. The eleventh of fifteen children born to John and Eva (Stojan) Hummel.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army from January 27, 1959, until being honorably discharged on March 13, 1964. He married the former Sharon Lee Morgan on September 1, 1962, in Quilcene, Washington.
Bob worked for a number of automotive dealerships and later owned and operated his own shop, "Bob's Auto" for a number of years. After retirement, he busied himself delivering firetrucks, driving school bus for Hortonville school district and enjoying his hobbies.
Bob loved to fish and hunt with his family. He enjoyed sports, bowling and wood work.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Sharon Hummel; daughters-Carol (Jeff) Pritchard and Gail (Nick) Guzzardo; son-Robert Jr. (Trisha) Hummel; 6 Grandchildren -Tiffany (Brad) Bogenschutz, Robert (TeriJo) Hummel, Courtney Pritchard, Michael (Ariana) Guzzardo, Caitlyn (Alec) Battelle and Chelsey Pritchard; 3 Great Grandchildren-Amelia and Jedidiah Bogenschutz and Eleanor Hummel. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Hanson and Ruth (Larry) Engel and brother, Charles (Sharon) Hummel; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Eva Hummel; 3 sisters and 8 brothers and grandson, Cameron Guzzardo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 11 AM – 12 PM, funeral service at 12:15 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1145 Cardinal Lane. Military Honors to follow. He will be laid to rest Spring of 2026.
Bob's family wishes to express sincere thanks to the medical staff and Unity Hospice team of Bellin Hospital for their continuous care, support, and compassion through his journey.
