Robert "Bob"
Welsing
Aug 18, 1940 — May 16, 2024
Robert "Bob" J. Welsing of Suamico, 83, passed away after living a full life of gratitude on May 16, 2024. He was born on August 18, 1940 to the late Arnold and Ethel Welsing. Bob married Lynn Huxford on January 2, 1960.
Bob served his country as a combat engineer in the US Army for six and a half years, ending his service as an E6. Bob lived in the Green Bay area all his life. He was a loving husband and dad who loved his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren. Bob worked just three jobs (Schusters Concrete, Clairmont Transfer and Peter's Concrete) before operating his own business, R&R, Snow Plowing and Construction for 38 years. Bob and Lynn loved spending time together traveling and going on weekly date nights. Bob especially enjoyed keeping himself busy with sharpening blades, knives, chainsaw chains, drill bits, and numerous other projects for family, friends, and acquaintances. His secret to life was keeping himself motivated through talking to the right people, always having something planned for the next day, and telling his brain to behave itself.
Survivors include his children, Michele (Mike) Simon, Daniel (Dee) Welsing; grandchildren, Michael (Becky), Matthew (Maddie), Nathan (Cassie), Ashley, Brian (Lisa), and Jack; step grandchildren, Eric (Lisa), Cassidy, Sage, Mike Jr., Brett, and Jaxon; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lyla, Embree, Landon, and Noah; brothers, Roger and Kurt; many special friends; and many other friends and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn; son, Bobby; parents, Arnold and Ethel Welsing, and other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12:30 – 4:30 PM. A memorial service and military honors will follow. Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com.
