Obituary

Ronald R. Devroy, 84, Suamico, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017. He was born May 31, 1933 in Suamico to Russell (Buck) and Marie Devroy (a local commercial fishing family). Ron graduated from Green Bay West High School. He married Loretta Johnson on August 20th 1954 in Green Bay, WI.

Ron touched many lives during his lifetime including serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Coral Sea during the Korean War and working for the US Corp of Engineers (Great Lakes Division). He also was the Head Chef at the Hotel Northland and Fox Hills Resort Mishicot. Ron changed careers and became a carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a member of the North Central States Carpenters Union and worked as a supervisor for Howard Immel (spent time in Plymouth England constructing a new plant for Paper Converting) and served as an expeditor for Martinson Architects. Ron later founded Little Suamico Cabinet and Millwork Company and was well known for his construction skills and attention to detail. If you wanted a job done right, you called Ron Devroy.

Survived by children, Jeff (Sandy) Luedke, St. Peters, MO; Robert (Cindy) Luedke, Little Suamico, WI; Julie (Michael) Meyer, Suamico, WI; Ronald (Lynn) Devroy, Sobieski, WI; Luanne (Ron) Torre, Greene, NY; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Michelle (Doug) Burgess (Kyle, Kole, Brady, Lucy), Melissa (Brandon) Gilbert (Landon, Ben), Sabrina (Jason) Czarapata (Logan), B.J. (Melissa) Luedke (Lauren, Emily), Ben (Katie) Luedke (Evalyn, Isabelle), Sara (Carlos) Salas (Alex, Ella); Michael (Sarah) Meyer (Michael), Nathan (Allison) Devroy (R.J., Franklin), Russell Devroy (Rocco), Samantha May, Luci (Brandon) Smith (Lily, Lola), and Anthony Torre; special nephew Jason Johnson; sister, Jean (Wayne) Teschendorf special neighbors, Jackie Johnson, Dan and Carol Johnson, Steve and Mary McFarlane and Art Wieber; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; wife Loretta; infant son Russell Devroy; grandson Danial Amerson; brother Robert and his wife Sandy Devroy; brother-in-law Bruce Schaus.
