Obituary

Rory Stephen Arndt, 46, born May 18, 1978, in Green Bay, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 from an aortic dissection.  He was the third of four children to Mark (deceased) and Donna (Steinfeldt) Arndt.  On February 7, 2004, Rory married his best friend, Cassandra (Kozicki) Arndt. His pride and joy were his three children Amelia, Sawyer and Delilah.

Rory was a 1996 graduate of Bay Port High School.  He furthered his education at Madison Area Technical College with a degree in Police Science.  When his father passed away in 2003, Rory took over Arndt Construction.  He continued his dad's legacy through involvement in the Brown County Home Builder's Association- being a member on the BCHBA Board of Directors from 2015-2023 and president in 2021. Rory was also a member of the Golden Arrow Archery club.

His involvement with Boy Scouts started in 2014 with pack 4033 as a den leader.  He transitioned to a scoutmaster of troop 1033 from 2019 until 2024.  The Boy Scouts brought out his love for the outdoors.  He enjoyed camping throughout Wisconsin, going to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, and canoeing 100 miles in the boundary waters at Northern Tier.  He enjoyed the camaraderie of the troop leaders and mentoring the scouts.  His proudest moment of scouting was when Sawyer received his Eagle Scout Rank in January.

His passions were boating, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and four wheeling with his family.  He always had a Pabst in his hand and a lecture for anyone who would listen.  He loved his Bronco, trucks, and land in Tipler.  He did everything with his dog, Scout.

Rory will forever be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to talk to anyone.  Our road trip out to the Badlands and Yellowstone this past summer will be a cherished family memory.  His last gift to the world was organ donation.

Rory is survived by his wife, Cassie, children, Amelila, Sawyer and Delilah Arndt; mother Donna (Steinfeldt) Arndt; siblings Jesse Arndt, Brandon (Jennifer) Arndt, Hayley (Anthony) Lenz; nieces and nephews Obrien (Carly) Arndt and Owen (Cynthia) Arndt, Gage and Choper Kozicki, Tegan and Petra Arndt, Grainger and Markley Lenz; great niece and nephew Stephen and Amara Arndt; in-laws Gerald and Debora Kozicki, Dustin Kozicki; godmothers Patty VandenBush and Barbara Mueske.  He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Rory was preceded in death by his father, Mark Arndt, grandparents Kenneth and Kathleen (Leurquin), and Rupert and Delilah (Toebe) Steinfeldt. Cousins Angela Krueger, Tiffany and Courtney DeGrave, Bobbi Jo Solchenberger and Matthew Hill. His furry babies Leah and Pumba.
