Russ
Molaski
Sep 22, 1946 — Aug 16, 2026
Russ Molaski, 79, of Abrams, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, after injuries from a fall. Russ was born in Ironwood, Michigan to Edward and Mae Molaski on September 22, 1946. He attended Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood, Michigan. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. He then attended Milwaukee School of Engineering to earn his Associate’s Degree and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Michigan University. This is where he met his beloved wife Mary K.
On October 2, 1971, Russ and Mary K married at the Cathedral in Marquette, Michigan. Following their wedding they moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin where he earned his Master’s Degree in Engineering at UWGB. He was employed by NWTC as an Automotive Instructor and proudly retired after over 30 years of teaching. In 1973, Russ and Mary K were blessed with their first child, Sara. In 1975, they were blessed with their second child, Matthew. Raising their children was his top priority, and he never missed a hockey, soccer or volleyball game, ballet recital, or band concert. After their children were grown, this priority carried on to his three grandchildren who were the absolute light of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary K, his parents Edward and Mae Molaski, his sister Mary Molaski, his mother and father-in-law Isadore and Sara Goulette, and son-in-law Tim Lux.
Russ is survived by his daughter Sara, his son Matthew (Jessie), and his three grandchildren Cole, Jake and Sydney Molaski.
A private family funeral will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital for their care and compassion.
