Sally A.
Olson
Nov 21, 1943 — Sep 30, 2018
Sally Ann Olson, 74, Howard, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 with family by her side. She was born in Coleman, WI on November 21, 1943 to the late Myron and Adeline (Brault) Salewski. Sally was a graduate of Coleman High School and later earned her Cosmetology degree. More recently, Sally was employed at St. Vincent Hospital in patient services for 12 years.
Sally married Allen Olson on August 1, 1964 in Pound, WI. Survivors include her husband, Allen; children, Christina (Tom) Scanlan; Jill (Paul) Sobieck; Kerry Olson (Wendy Bauer); six grandchildren, Ryan, Riley, Caitlyn, Courtney, Mykala, Grant; brothers and sisters, Jacqueline (Merlin) Behling; Allan (Donna) Salewski; Jerry Salewski; Howard (Gaynell) Salewski; Jean (Michael) Merriman; sisters-in-law, Beverly Salewski, Deanna Olson and Corrine Olson.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David, Jack, and Patrick Salewski.
Sally had a laugh like no other and laughed often. To know her was to understand the meaning of happiness. Whether it was picking up candy from the parades for her grandchildren or being the only adult at the "kids table" for family functions, she lived life with a positive attitude. Her courage was immeasurable when it came to her 9 year battle with cancer. Undergoing a stem cell transplant with the help of UW Madison Carbone Cancer Center along with Dr. Ryan and associates of Green Bay Oncology, Sally was able to celebrate "two birthdays" each year.
Sally was an avid Packer fan, loved visiting the casino, and playing Bingo at The Salvation Army. Sally spent many happy hours on the lake fishing with her family. She is a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister (in-law), and her presence in our lives will be greatly missed.
