SallyAnne Patricia (Mayville) Connaher age 77, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday September 16 th , 2021, at home surrounded by her family and friends.
SallyAnne was born August 29 th , 1944, in Menominee, Michigan, the daughter of George and Mary Jane (Martin) Mayville. She grew up in Marinette, WI. On July 8 th , 1977, she married David Connaher.
SallyAnne was a loving, caring person who had great passion for supporting all people. She started a special needs CCD program, led a summer program for the students at Boswell School and coached Special Olympics in Green Bay. She was well loved by the families she provided childcare for in Menominee and these relationships continue to this day. SallyAnne was a generous wife, mother and sister who made each birthday and holiday special. She freely shared her love, opinions, and wisdom with each child. Sally was a creative crafter and enjoyed making things with her hands. One of her favorite things to do was knit caps for preemies at the local hospitals. Children and the Lord were closest to her heart. Her faith kept her strong. She was truly a light in this world and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
She is survived by her husband, David; sons: Steve (Cindy) Schick of Baraboo and David Connaher of Ironwood, MI; daughters Sheila (Delmar) Fairchild of Barron and Julie Schick of Green Bay: grandchildren Samuel (Yuliia), Julia (Clinton), Jacob and Joseph; great grandchildren Markus and Marcel; and two sisters Debby (Keith) Plude and Susan Stelzel; nieces Melanie (Jim), Karen (Pete) and Jackie; nephews Jeremy and Andy; great nephew Karter; great nieces Gianna, Miranda and Jordan (Nick) and special pet Cupcake. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Neil and Patrick.
Pfotenhauer Funeral Home is assisting the family with a visitation at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave. Entrance directly across from BP gas station on Glendale.) on Thursday, September 23 rd , 2021 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. with Father James Lucas officiating. Final resting place, Riverside Cemetery, Menominee, MI.
