Obituary

Susan Ann Gritt, 85 of Suamico, Wisconsin passed away on March 21, 2024.  Sue's family lovingly cared for and supported her throughout her life and especially these last few years of her illness.

Sue was born January 11, 1939, to Walter and Marion Leicht.  She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1957 and also attended UW-Whitewater.  After school, she married Robert Moore and together they had four children, Daniel (Ellen) Moore, Theresa Renard, Mary Sue (Mark) Zemanovic, William (Debbie) Moore. Her family also includes ten very dear grandchildren, fourteen adorable great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In 1991, Sue married Glenn Gritt (daughter Valerie Gritt). Together they enjoyed fishing, boating, music, and rescuing and raising animals. At any time, you could find Sue tending to her cats, dogs, deer, and any other friend that wandered into the yard or needed a home.

Sue and Glenn spent many of their days fishing and loved their time on the water.  She enjoyed listening to Glenn play music and her happiest times were with family and friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Leicht, her husband Glenn Gritt, daughter, Theresa Renard, Robert Moore, and James Williquette.

The loss of a mother and grandmother leaves a profound imprint on the heart of a family, symbolizing the passing of a cherished generation.  Sue leaves her family with an enduring legacy and all the values she instilled in those she loved.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Woodside Manor for the care, kindness and friendship provided to Sue over the past five years. A special thank you as well to Heartland Hospice.
