Susan Marie McKenna, 56, Minneapolis, left this earthly life on Friday, March 18, 2022, with family and friends by her side. Susan was born on January 25, 1966, in Green Bay. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy and went on to attend St. Norbert College finishing her degree at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities in Dance, where she went on to be a professional dancer.

Susan also had a career as a firefighter with the Minneapolis Fire Department while simultaneously pursuing a degree from the William Mitchell College of Law.

Dancing was Susan's passion, often traveling the world to dance. Hiking, biking, crafting, painting, and quilting also kept her busy and happy. She had a beautiful smile that she shared with everyone. She loved and was loved by her family and many lifelong friends.

A long-time resident of Minneapolis, Susan spent the last few months of her life in Green Bay being cared for by her family and friends. Susan is survived by her mother, Joanne (Chuck) Berry, Mary (Jim) Stallard, Kevin McKenna, Dan (Theresa) McKenna, Anne Tielens, Patty McKenna, many nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, a long list of friends, especially Velleda Schervee. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Ken McKenna and brother-in-law, Randy Tielens.

The family would like to thank Unity Hospice for caring for Susan in the last days of her courageous fight against cancer.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
