Sylvia I.
Aebischer
Jul 18, 1930 — Dec 12, 2018
It was a Wednesday, in the evening, December 12 th . This day would be different. It would have two sets of endings and two beginnings. The day began as days do…rising sun into daylight and then to darkness again…a beginning and an end. The second set saw the end of Sylvia Aebischer's 88 th year of life on earth and the beginning of her life in heaven.
On that day, Sylvia finished the last of her three life wishes: 1) Attending the wedding of her grandson Andy to Amanda 2) Holding her newest great granddaughter – 1 month old Janae and 3) staying in her home until her final days.
The past few years were filled with family, many new friends, Saturday morning stuffed French toast and watching the Game Show Network. Her extended family and friends at Bellevue Senior Living were a real joy in her life. The friendships she made there and all the kindness that was shown never ceased to amaze her.
After one final spin on Wheel of Fortune, she was welcomed into her eternal home by her loving husband Darold, many family members and friends.
Those left behind to bid farewell include four loving daughters: Diane Verdegan, Peggy Peters, Kristine (Bill) Hartung and Mary Jo (Art) Siefert. Also watching from the shoreline are: six fantastic grandsons: Joe (Kim) Verdegan, Jesse (Trisha) Verdegan, Tyler (Julie) Hartung, Shane Schaetz (Theresa), Luke Peters (Laura), Andy (Amanda) Aebischer, and her special granddaughter Carly (Jerome) Weaver. Watching with them are eight adorable great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her extended family and many dear friends.
Let your heart beat for Sylvia as you remember her in your fashion of praying. That will be how you see her for the last time because Sylvia did not want a visitation or service. This was her final wish and it would make her smile…because it would be on her terms.
Her family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Bellevue Senior Living, Heartland Hospice and the great friends who have showered Mom with kindness. You have been a true blessing to Mom and us. We will be forever grateful to you. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
