Virginia R. Apfel, a woman whose life was a symphony of love, devotion, and cherished moments, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on August 18, 2023, surrounded by her adoring family. Virginia was born on October 24, 1929. She embarked on a journey to shape the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

A loving wife to her late husband, Russell, Virginia found strength and companionship in their enduring partnership. Virginia was full of love, forever dedicated to her nine beautiful children. Her devotion to her children was the cornerstone of her life. Her kitchen was a haven where she baked delicious creations that delighted her family. Word searches and puzzles were among her great pastimes. Among her favorite pastimes was watching "her stories," soap operas. Virginia's green thumb was evident in her passion for canning the bountiful vegetables she and Russell grew in their garden together. Also, Virginia loved to read.

However, her most significant source of joy was her family, a family that spans FIVE generations from her children to great-great-grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by her children, Sons; Terry (Randa) Apfel, Rodney (Shirley) Apfel, Richard (Kristin) Apfel, Robert (Julie) Apfel, Brian (Nancy) Apfel, Daughter; Michelle (Darren) Szymik, Brothers; Fred, John, Sisters; Esther, Jean, 18 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Apfel, Sons; Ronald Apfel, Larry Apfel, Bradley Apfel, Brothers; Walter, David, Sisters; Charlotte, Clara Mae, Frieda, Elvira, Barbara.
