Walter J. Gruszczynski, 73, passed away on January 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 5, 1950 to the late Wladyslaw and Kazimiera Gruszczynski, Walter grew up in Marinette County, WI. He graduated from both Crivitz High School and Northwest Technical College. He served active duty in Vietnam, joining the US Army in 1970.

Walter was selfless in his life; he liked his garden, his bible study class, his small business and customers, watching movies, and being a scout leader. He was a man of action; always kept moving. Walter worked as a maintenance engineer and was an entrepreneur. Above all else, he loved his family.

He is survived by his children, John and Amy; brothers, Casimer and Stanley; sisters, Krystyna and Rose Marie; and ex-wife Cheryl; along with many more family and friends. Walter is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane.
