Wayne Adler, 87, of Woodstock, GA, formerly of Howard, passed away on August 11, 2025. He was born to the late Edward and Esther Adler on February 25, 1938. On March 17, 1954, Wayne met the love of his life, Judi Ellis. They were married on May 4, 1957, recently celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary. Wayne worked for American Can and Georgia Pacific as a supervisor and a trainer. He also proudly served in the National Guard for 24 years and retired as a Major.
After retiring in 1999, Wayne and Judi moved to Georgia in 2000 and have been living there since while spending their summers back home in Wisconsin. They enjoyed many road trips together and Wayne loved biking, running, golfing, fishing, and deer hunting, but most importantly: spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Judi Adler; children, Gina (Bob) Greisinger, Brenda (Mike) Hnilicka, and Michele Adler; grandchildren, Kari (special friend, Matt) Hnilicka, Taylor (Maegan) Greisinger, and Connor (fiancé, Morgan) Greisinger; great-grandson, Brayden Bunker; daughter-in-law, Tina Krueger; brother, Donald (Sandy) Adler; and sister, Kathy (Dan) Butterfield. He is further survived by many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Adler; parents; parents-in-law, Floyd and Arvilla Ellis; and sister-in-law, Pat (Roy) Hujet.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 21 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (2597 Glendale Ave, entrance directly across from the BP gas station). A Mass of Christian Burial and military honors will immediately follow. Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com.

Wayne was the best husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother. He will be greatly missed.
