Wendy L. Sporleder, 62, received her eternal wings on April 12, 2021. Wendy and her devoted partner Carla Felton have held hands the past 7.5 years traveling the difficult and heartbreaking journey of dementia.
Wendy was born on February 13, 1959 and grew up in Eagle River, WI. Wendy was an outdoor enthusiast and loved nature. She enjoyed camping on the shores of Lake Superior, skiing at White Cap Mountain, biking, and snowshoeing or walking through the woods. Wendy spent her career as a custom kitchen and bath designer beginning at Stock Lumber in Appleton. She then moved to Lake Tomahawk and worked for Featherstone Cabinetry before starting her own business, Bridgewood Designs in Woodruff.
Wendy was a kind, generous person with a huge heart. She was an avid lover of dogs and will be reunited with Cody, Chelsea and Emma. Wendy and Carla met in 2005 and quickly realized they were soul mates meant to be together for eternity.
Survivors include her committed partner Carla Felton and their two dogs Sypsey and Jazzy. Her mother Gale Sporleder and sister Christine (Bill) Kamps of Eagle River. Niece, Amie Griffin and significant other Joe Buckles of Prairie Du Sac. Nephews, Daniel (Melanie) Safford of Kewaskum and Brian (Kristi) Safford of Sun Prairie. Her son, Zachary James Hermes which she longed to be a part of her life. Her Mother- in- law Nancy Felton of Green Bay and sisters-in-law Chris Felton and partner Diane Neeve of Zion, IL, Connie (Larry) Bretl of New London. Lifelong friends Georgina Holden (Mary Majerus) of Fond du Lac. Barb Behm of Greenville. Susan Besson of Green Bay. Wendy will be dearly missed by everyone.
Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Fred Sporleder and Grandma and Grandpa Mulhollon.
