Obituary

Willard "Bill" F. Verstoppen, 88, Flintville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He was born in Green Bay on June 16, 1928 to the late Frank and Anna (Pansch) Verstoppen. Bill married Bonita Johnson in 1956 in Flintville. He was employed 25+ years for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, Pauly Cheese and 23 years for the Green Bay Public Schools retiring in 1993. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, building projects and woodworking. He was an avid Packers fan.

Survivors include his wife, Bonita; sons, Marvin, Larry, Gene, Mark, John and Dean (Tammy) Verstoppen; daughters, Karen Verstoppen, Sharon (Larry) Schabel; 12 loving grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Carriveau, Florence Lambert, Shirley (Roy) Haen, Patti (Don) Schultz. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Mary Broekman; Carol Verstoppen; brothers, Vernon, Lester, Raymond; sister, Vi.

A memorial gathering will be held at Ss. Edward & Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Road, Suamico on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 9 until 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. at the church with Father David Hoffman officiating. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
