J. Denoble
Jan 29, 1953 — Mar 15, 2016
William (Bill) J. DeNoble, 63, of Green Bay passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was born in Green Bay on January 29, 1953, to the late Gerald DeNoble and Ethelyn (Knaus) Parafiniuk. Bill graduated from Suring High School in 1971. He served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1980 and was honorably discharged, then served in the Army National Guard for several years. Bill married Debbie Watermolen on December 2, 1976, while home on leave from the Army. She then joined him at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to start their married life together. They returned to Green Bay to raise their two children. Bill was employed at Georgia Pacific East for 30 years, retiring in 2014. He enjoyed collecting and playing guitars and other musical instruments, woodworking, building and fixing computers in his "man cave," and vegetable gardening. Bill was always generous with his time and willing to lend a helping hand when family members needed help with computers or handyman projects.
Survivors include his loving wife Debbie; children Eric DeNoble and Stacy (Brent) Nelson; stepmother Carol DeNoble; mother-in-law Eleanore Watermolen; siblings Cheryl DeNoble, Helen (John) Brossart, Brian (Kathy) DeNoble, Brenda DeNoble, Joyce Yuma (fiancé Wayne), and Amy (Earl) Habeck; sisters-in-law Joanne Yuma, Donna (Larry) Chaudoir, Kathy (Barry) Hastings, and JoAnne (Gary) Gloudemans; one uncle; four aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eugene Yuma and Bradley DeNoble, and father-in-law Merlin Watermolen.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 10 am to 1 pm at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service East, 2379 East Mason Street. Memorial service will be at 1 pm at the funeral home with Military Honors to follow. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com.
A heart-felt thank you goes out to Bill's best bud Barry and sister-in-law Kathy for knowing when to just be there for him; as well as to his sister Helen for calling at least once a week from Colorado to check in on him and to talk, reminisce, and lift his spirits in the special way that only she can.
Bill's family would also like to extend a special thank you to his Unity Hospice team for the wonderful care they provided, especially his regular RN Dar; his social worker Kathy; Chaplain Larry; and Dr. Koch. Thanks also to Dr. Burnette and the team at Green Bay Oncology. Your loving care and kindness will not be forgotten.
